“Cultivation” is an installation commentary of our modern work culture, specifically the hustle state of mind. It expresses the expectations and reality of self awareness, the highs and lows and in betweens, workflow and gratification. It consists of 3D printed components that direct inwards and outwards distinguishing rhythm and balance along with movements. Designed in the shape of a Honeycomb, representing the work created by Earth’s hardest workers. 3D printed using natural byproducts from materials like Beer, Coffee, Cork, Hemp & Pinewood. The layout will be in Bees “Waggle Dance” pattern and of 24 group components to represent the hours in a day. Strung with fishing line, this installation is meant to be displayed from the ceiling.
